les 26 avril below! Sorry we forgot to change the date. Also, I asked students to find out the names of our local candidates running for election in this riding for tomorrow. We will also review the different levels of government: Federal, provincial and municipal and what each is responsible for.
defi de lecture = reading challenge
Students need to read 200 minutes total in French by next Monday midnight to earn individual and class prizes. They may listen and read which is even better. This means watching French shows with French subtitles. They have several options for this, which we reviewed today. They need a parent or reliable person to sign if they read at home. We will read at school each day for at least 30 minutes so that leaves 10 minutes each night for homework if they don't find extra time at school.
They are also on a vocabulary hunt and for this they must record the title and pages or minutes where they found the words they record.

Homework week of 6-10 février
Immigration quiz Wednesday. See below for details.
Reading sample Friday. Practice one selection to read aloud to Mme. Make sure it is a "just right" book; not too easy or too hard. Hard enough so that you need to look up some vocabulary but not too much. Practice the vocabulary and read it over and over until you can read it with expression. Record the new vocabulary so we can see your learning.
